Tutoring and Learning support
Where The Heart Is Homeschooling offers a range of homeschooling support services.
Tutoring & Learning Support
Personalised learning that meets your child where they are.
Tutoring sessions are designed to support children as individual learners — academically, emotionally, and developmentally. Whether your child needs confidence-building, targeted skill support, or extension beyond year-level expectations, learning is paced thoughtfully and responsively. Learning support focuses on where your child is at, not determined by a year level.
Sessions may include explicit teaching, guided practice, discussion, hands-on activities, and reflective learning, depending on your child’s needs and learning style. Support is available across key learning areas, with a strong focus on English and Mathematics. Learning support encompasses building foundational skills, curiosity, and a positive relationship with learning.
Tutoring can be short-term, ongoing, or adjusted as your child’s needs evolve. For local families, this can be provided as one-to-one learning, or family grouping sessions. Alternatively, support can be adjusted for families across Australia, including those travelling or overseas, using paper-based resources and alternative communication methods (such as emailing learning materials) where in-person sessions are not possible, allowing learning to continue without reliance on screens.
